What started as an aging wood deck became a weatherproof outdoor retreat designed to be enjoyed year-round. After a site walk and measurements, we built a 3D concept to explore layouts and cover options, iterating with the homeowner until the proportions, roof style, and sightlines felt just right. Once approved, we carefully demoed the old structure and rebuilt the deck for durability with upgraded framing, corrosion-resistant hardware, proper flashing, and drainage. We then integrated a new cover sized to deliver generous dry space without darkening interior rooms. In two weeks, the space came together within the $50k–$75k budget, with clean transitions to the yard and finishes chosen to complement the home’s architecture.
The result is a timeless, “always belonged here” addition: classic lines, a comfortable covered zone that still feels open to the outdoors, and a deck ready for daily use in any weather.
