Guided by a clear vision for lasting outdoor living, the homeowner asked for more than a basic deck refresh, something that truly anchors the views and feels integrated with the home. We used iterative 3D renderings to dial in proportions, railings, lighting, and those signature angled corners. After the demo, we built a steel-framed structure with PVC decking, corrosion-resistant hardware, proper flashing, and integrated drainage for longevity. We coordinated trades and inspections, pre-wired for future heaters and speakers, and added low-voltage step lights for safe circulation.
The three-week build stayed on a $100k budget, with warranties of about 50 years on the PVC and 25 years on the steel. Finishes were selected to match the home’s palette and minimize maintenance over time. At handoff, the client said the process was fun and easy, and they love the way the lighting washes the angled corners at night and the layout opens the views by day.
